If you have a little time and sewing skills, your help could be vital in supporting NHS staff working on the frontline during the current Covid-19 crisis. There is a currently shortage of scrubs (the clothes health service staff wear under protective equipment) and the Worcestershire branch of “For the Love of Scrubs” is working hard to fill the gap for 9 hospitals in Worcestershire, including the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
To get involved, join the Facebook group through the website www.worcestershirefortheloveofscrubs.co.uk, contact your local coordinator, download the required patterns, gather your materials and get sewing. Friends and family may even have suitable fabrics at home in the shape of duvets or pillow cases that can be washed at 60 degrees. Check out the website for details.
